I saw that you met Father Michael, nice! If you decide to come to Philly for saint Rita's day, don't forget to give us a heads up! Bob and I were married by a dear Augustinian priest and friend from that church.
I didn't think of going to the Shrine, but perhaps I will. It's a little difficult when one's wife is not Catholic since it's not something she would do. I saw you commented on Allison's blog about St. Rita. Apparently Allison was at my parish for the Lenten lecture. I know she and Fr. Veras know each other through Communion and Liberation organization
I understand. Cool that you parish is St. Rita! Mine is St. Monica, and there is a St. Nicholas of Tolentine near us. I have always loved Augustinian spirituality. Bob and I had once thought of joining the third orders, but apparently, their membership in such things is not thriving. It's true, that most of the Augustinian priests I have known are and were advanced in age. :( Sad, really.Sorry so off topic on your Friday blog post. I did enjoy listening to Father Barron.
